Matt: wonderful to see you last night. So glad we could join in the fun. Laina (sic) is terrific and I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with her. Be well and remember...it was Frank Sinatra who said..."if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere."

Great post! I will check these guys out. I love the beer/bread analogy and the way you tied their business strategy to the bread-making process. you can't be in a hurry to make good bread or build a business, that's for sure! Well done!

Liquid beer; so that's my problem.
Not a beer drinker but a bread lovah!!

NB bread + peanut butter (any varietal) = as close to perfect as one can get in food. (Not counting mashed potatoes, of course.)

Great post!

They are all spectacular breads, but my absolute favorite is Harvest. It's loaded with flavors and textures and is (IMO) best enjoyed as a savory treat--spread with fresh goat cheese or cream cheese. MMMMMmmmmmm!!!

When I moved out-of-state temporarily, I used to put one French half and one 7-grain half in my luggage and ration it till the next trip. I'm so glad now I don't have to...but I still need to make a trip to the bakery/cafe. Great story!
